What to expect at your treatment:

Before treatment measurements- start by taking measurements and photographs of the area to be treated.  We strongly recommend you allow us to take photographs (completely confidential) so you can see your amazing transformation.
Step one– cavitation: the ultrasound hand piece is used to preform the cavitation treatment. This can last between 15-60 minutes depending on the area to be treated. No sensations will be felt here, just a slight amount of pressure equal to a massage. Just relax while we do the work!
Step two– The Radio Frequency (RF). This hand piece is used mostly to boost the skin’s strength and firmness through collagen and elastin stimulation and production. Client’s will feel a comfortable warmth during this part of the procedure. RF can last between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
Step three– Lymphatic drainage. Your therapist will then perform a short lymphatic drainage massage on the area being treated to aid your body in the toxin elimination process.
Step four – Post Treatment Measurements and photos. Measurements and photographs are taken at the completion of the treatment to compare to those taken initially.

Before your treatment:
– Do stay very well hydrated. You should aim to drink 2-3L of water every day. On a day you are having a cavitation you should drink up to 500mL more than this. Water increases your body’s ability to expel toxins so the more water you drink, the better results you will achieve!
– Do stay active. 20-30 minutes of moderate activity at least 5 times a week will aid in healthy weightloss.
– Do eat a well-balanced diet. To avoid reversing all your good results, be sure to stick to a healthy, balanced diet. Ask your therapist for any nutritional tips and advice, we’re here to help!

After your treatment:
– Do limit alcohol intake. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after treatment. As your body is already busy flushing out built up toxins, you don’t want to add any more as this will hinder your results.
– Do go for a 30 minute walk within 6 hours of finishing your treatment. This will assist your body’s metabolism.
Cavitations are not an alternative to proper diet and exercise, it is however used in conjunction with these to speed up your desired results.

Frequently asked questions:

-How does this treatment differ from liposuction surgery?
Unlike liposuction, the cavatation treatment is non-invasion, requires no hospital stay or anesthetic and is completely pain free. Cavatation is based on low-frequency ultrasound which creates bubbles and vibrations within the fat cells. Fat cells do not have the structural capabilities to withstand these vibrations causing them to turn to liquid. The body then excretes out this liquidised fat as waste.

-How often do I need a treatment?
To achieve desired results varies for everyone. We generally recommend 6-12 weekly sessions, in conjunction with correct diet and exercise. Obviously the larger we are, the more treatments we will need.

– Is there any pain associated with this treatment?
Cavitation is 100% painfree, most clients consider the treatment painless, comfortable and relate it to a massage. Even though we talk about ‘exploding fat cells’ you will feel absolutely nothing. You may feel slight warmth thoughout the RF component.

-Can I expect any side effects?
Consuming water before and after your treatment will help flush your body of fats and toxins. If you fail to drink any water after the treatment it is sometimes common to feel slightly ill due to the amount of broken down toxins in the system. Be sure to discuss medical history and medications to ensure you are suitable for the treatment.

-What is the expected immediate fat loss result?
Most clients experience 1-10cm of circumference reduction after a single session with increasing results after each visit. The results may vary person to person due to different tissue structure, treatment area, age, metabolism, medications and changes in hormones. It is a permanent reduction BUT it is up to your diet and lifestyle to prevent new fat cells from storing in your body.

-What is the advantage of Cavataion over diet and exercise alone?
With a balanced diet and regular exercise you can reduce non specific weight. Cavataion can directly stimulate and affect your problem areas where diet and exercise alone may not be working. It is not for replacing diet and exercise but to encourage better habits where previously lacking.
